The Building Safety Division is responsible for the building safety standards for the design, construction, use, and occupancy of all buildings and structures within the City of Laguna Beach.
Whether you are undertaking a minor repair, remodel, complete renovation, or building a new home, you should check with us BEFORE you begin work. Most projects require a Building Permit and staff review. To apply for a permit, you must submit in person. Pre-registration through the City's online system is no longer required. Click here for more information.
The outdoor lockers for dropping off plans and applications are now closed. However, these lockers are available for applicants to pick up plans. Please submit plans in-person at the Community Development counter.
