About the Contest

To celebrate Laguna Beach, the City sponsors an annual Photo Contest. For the 2018 contest, photographers submitted high-resolution photographs fitting the theme Daily Life in Laguna Beach.

Entries were due on June 6, 2018. This year we received 185 photographs from 66 contestants, our highest level of participation since starting the contest four years ago. We expect to announce the winners by early August. Stay tuned for information for how to vote for a Crowd Favorite photo.

We were looking for your perspective on life in Laguna Beach. We encouraged images that depict the vibrancy, vitality, and livability of our City as well as images with people in them, either from afar or close up. Photographs were entered in the following categories:

Sunsets: Photos of any subject that include a sunset.

Daily Life: Photos of people of all ages involved in Laguna's daily life, such as work, play, sports, cultural arts, and events in town including the beach, downtown, trolleys, parks, and open space. May not include a sunset.
