The waiting period for the 56th running of the Brooks Street Classic has closed, and the contest will be postponed until next summer. This year's surf conditions were not enough to run a contest. The waiting period for the 56th Brooks Street Classic will re-open on June 1, 2020. Call (949) 497-0788 for more information.
Sponsored by the Brooks Street Surfing Classic organization and administered by the City of Laguna Beach Community Services Department, this annual surf contest is held a different weekend each year, depending on when the surf is forecast to be optimal. This event is open only to Laguna Beach residents, and features a variety of age divisions competing in short- and longboard, paddleboard, and bodyboard events.
