The City of Laguna Beach is excited to offer Leadership Laguna - a citizen's academy hosted by Councilmemeber Sue Kempf. The purpose of these workshops is to introduce residents of Laguna Beach to the inner workings of their City.
Each workshop will deal with specific aspects of City functions: Local Government, Public Safety, some City Legal Constraints, Public Works, Community Services, Community Development, and Cultural Arts.
Workshops will be held on the following Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Laguna Beach Community and Susi Q Center:
March 12 - Welcome and Local Government Overview

April 16 - Community Development and Cultural Arts
Marc Wiener, Director of Community Development and Siân Poeschl, Cultural Arts Manager
In addition to providing general information about the inner workings of City government, the workshops will introduce participants to volunteer opportunities to become involved by serving on City commission, boards, or committees and perhaps even to consider running for City Council.
