Engine 1 is a Paramedic Engine that provides paramedic service as well as fire protection to the north end of the City.  The engine is a 2006 American LaFrance Fire Engine with a 1,500 gallon per minute fire pump; carries 500 gallons of water; is equipped with a foam pump and tank, and carries an assortment of rescue equipment including ropes for rappeling and power saws for forcing entry and ventilation.
