You may request that officers of the Laguna Beach Police Department act as agent for the owner of private property for purposes of enforcing laws against any person(s) found on the property without the owner's consent or without lawful purpose. This is an extremely useful tool and is strongly recommended for businesses, vacant properties, vacant lots, or any properties upon which public nuisance activity and/or crime problems occur.
You make this request by submitting a Trespass Letter of Authorization form, which will be valid for no more than six months. Click this link Six-month Trespass Letter of Authorization for a PDF version of the form.
Step 1. Fill out the form, print it, and then sign it by hand. We must have your actual signature on the form.
Step 2. Return the signed form to the City of Laguna Beach Police Department.
Step 3. Mark your calendar to submit a new form within six months, if the need still exists.
