CIP 522 - Police Lobby Renovation

In general, this project consists of renvating three areas within the Police Department at City Hall: the lobby, and the report writing and booking areas. The lobby will be nelarged by relocation an exisiting office and armoring the walls and glass facing the lobby. The report wiritng area will receive new cabinets and workstations and the booking area will receive new cabinets. Temporary walls are to be constructed so that Police operations can continue during construction. To expedite the project, a bid alternate is included that allows for work to be conducted 24 hours per day in consecutive calendar days.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid conference and site walk for this project to be held ON SITE on December 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Bidders will meet in in the CIty Council Chambers at 505 Forest Avenue and then be escorted through the work areas in the Police Department by an officer. This will be the only opportunity for bidders to view the project.
