Priority Development Project Categories
Priority Development Projects are:

1) Redevelopment projects which create, add, or replace at least 5,000 square feet of impervious surfaces AND the project falls under any of the following categories;
2) Disturbs 1 or more acres of land;
3) New development which creates over 10,000 square feet of impervious surfaces,
4) Automotive repair shops;
5) Restaurants;
6) Hillside development which creates over 5,000 square feet of impervious area;
7) Discharges to a Water Quality Environmentally Sensitive Area (WQESA) - See Parcel zoning.  All beachfront properties are included;
8) Parking lots larger than 5,000 square feet or 15 spaces;
9) Streets, roads, highways and freeways 5,000 square feet or greater impervious area;
10) Retail gasoline outlets.

If your project falls into any one of these categories, a WQMP/SSMP is required.
