Registration

You can register your domestic partnership in Laguna Beach. You need not be a resident of Laguna Beach.

To register:

• Make an appointment with the City Clerk by calling (949) 497-0705
• Both parties must be present at the appointment and present photo-identification (i.e. a drivers license or passport)
• There is a fee of $25.00 payable by cash or check
• You will be asked to fill out an application and declare under penalty of perjury that:
  • You are not related by blood closer than would bar marriage in the State of California
  • You share the common necessities of life
  • You are both eighteen years old or older
  • You are both competent to enter into a contract
  • You are jointly responsible for each other's common care, welfare and basic living expenses
  • You agree to notify the City of any change in the status of your domestic partnership
  • You are each others sole domestic partner and have no other domestic partners
  • You have been each other's domestic partner since _______.

After completing the above, you will be given a certificate of Domestic Partnership Registration. If you have questions or need additional information, you may call the City Clerk's Office at (949) 497-0705.
