City Treasurer

The City Treasurer is elected and serves a four year term. Working in a part-time capacity, the Treasurer's primary responsibilities include the following:

• Receives for safekeeping all funds coming into the City treasury
• Ensures compliance with laws governing public funds
• Reviews City warrants to ensure payment is made to legally designated individuals
• Oversees the investment portfolio and prepares monthly reports of investment earnings
• Monitors cash flow
• Conducts periodic audits of money collected through the City's transit and parking systems
• Acts as trustee between property owners and holders of various City bonds
• Provides technical assistance with special assessment districts
