Preparing to install 600 feet of new pipe (blue) into the old pipe(underground). A steel head is attached to the new pipe, a cable is run through the old pipe, then the cable is attached to the head and the new pipe is pulled through. The old pipe is 24" in diameter and the new pipe is 20", so the operation went smoothly.

Huge winch (red), steel cable and pullys are used to pull the new pipe into place.

Backhoe guides the new pipe as it slides into the old pipe.

The steel head on the front end of the new pipe (right), ready to enter the old pipe and slide nearly 400 feet into position.

The operation was a success and the new pipe now lines the old one.
