The installation of an odor control system at the Bluebird SOCWA lift station has proven highly effective in eliminating odors in the southern portion of the City. The same installation is planned at the Laguna SOCWA lift station to eliminate odors and corrosive conditions in the North Coast Interceptor in the area between City Hall and the Bluebird Lift Station at Glenneyre and Calliope. |

| Variable Frequency Drive Replacements @ Bluebird SOCWA LS No. 26 |
The Variable Frequency Drives are motor control devices that power the primary pumps at the Bluebird and Laguna SOCWA lift stations. They provide optimum power efficiencies to pump over 2 million gallons per day. The drives are well past their service lives and have reached obsolescence. |

The Rockledge lift station was built in 1932 and is still serviced by the original 4-inch cast iron force main. This station has far exceeded its service life and requires reconstruction of the force main and replacement of the electrical system. |
