The Wastewater Division of the Water Quality Department is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the City's sewer system including main sewer lines and pump stations. Private sewer laterals are the responsibility of property owners in Laguna Beach. The Division administers the citywide grease program as well as a
number of capital projects. Sewer spills are handled by the Division as well. Sewer forms and rate information are available. The City works hard to control odors from the sewer. Currently, sewer lining and the North Coast Interceptor Project at Nyes Place are underway.
