Popular activities at Anita are swimming and body-boarding. The beach is used almost exclusively used by people of all ages who are enjoy swimming and surfing. This is a swimming only beach during the summer and is not for use by surfers or skimboarders. Surfing is permitted north of the beach (past the surf flag) at the southern end of Thalia Street beach.

Hazardous and rip conditions are many, especially during large surf. The area is mostly a rock reef and sand. There are designated areas for swimmers and the surfers. Surfers are not allowed in the swimming area due to hazards from skim and surf boards.

If you do visit this area please do not take, collect or disturb any of the marine life. The taking or collecting of rocks, shells, or marine life is prohibited. Fishing is not allowed at this beach.
