City of Laguna Beach Invites Community Input to Establish a Community Land Trust
LAGUNA BEACH, CA – The City of Laguna Beach is taking a step toward addressing housing affordability and artist work/live opportunities through the establishment of the Laguna Beach Community Land Trust (CLT). On March 26, 2024, the City Council directed staff to facilitate the formation of a CLT, a non-profit organization that acquires and holds land in trust for the benefit of the community. The primary goal of the CLT is to ensure that land remains permanently affordable, making it a key tool in preserving the city’s unique character while addressing housing challenges.
