A playful new public art installation titled Laguna Connection by artists Viktor Erdyneev and Vasilisa Lipatova has made its debut inside the iconic red telephone booth on Forest Avenue in downtown Laguna Beach. The artwork will remain on view for 24 months as part of the City’s ongoing temporary public art program.
Laguna Connection celebrates nature in a lighthearted way. The whimsical fish sculpture housed inside the historic red telephone booth symbolizes a playful conversation between humans and the ocean. Representing Laguna’s vibrant marine life, the fish becomes a storyteller of the sea—inviting viewers to reconnect with, respect, and celebrate the natural world in an unexpected setting.
This installation is presented by the Laguna Beach Arts Commission and funded by the lodging establishments and City of Laguna Beach.
