We have received some inquiries regarding the newly installed plastic containment system around the beach dozer that is generally staged at the Aliso Beach parking lot.  This was recently installed by the Public Works staff.  The containment plays a critical role in protecting public safety and water quality, ensuring environmental protection and compliance with stormwater regulations, by preventing any potential fluid leaks (such as hydraulic fluid or fuel) from reaching nearby storm drains or the ocean.  We hope that it never has to be used, but it is there just in case.
