LAGUNA BEACH CITY COUNCIL SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR ORANGE COUNTY VECTOR CONTROL BOARD

LAGUNA BEACH, CA – The Laguna Beach City Council is inviting interested Laguna Beach residents  to apply for appointment to the Orange County Vector Control District Board of Trustees. This is  an opportunity for a dedicated community member to serve a two-year term in a regional  leadership role that works to protect public health across Orange County. 

The Orange County Vector Control District is responsible for the surveillance and control of  vectors — including mosquitoes, ticks, and other organisms — that can transmit diseases to  humans and animals. Board trustees play a key role in setting policy and overseeing programs  that safeguard public health throughout the region. The OC Vector Control Board of Trustees  meets at 3:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at the Orange County Mosquito and  Vector Control District headquarters at 13001 Garden Grove Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92843. 

To be considered, applicants must be residents of the City of Laguna Beach. Completed  applications must be submitted to the City Clerk's Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday,  March 27, 2026. 

Interviews and appointments will be conducted by the City Council at its meeting on Tuesday,  April 14, 2026, and the appointee will represent the City of Laguna Beach at the April 16, 2026,  OC Vector Control Board of Trustees meeting.
