The City is pleased to announce that three artist have been selected as finalists by the Arts Commission through a competitive national qualifications process to develop concept proposals for a permanent public artwork at the future Fire Station Four, at 31796 Coast Highway.

Congratulations to artists Volkan Alkanoglu, Mary Carter Taub, and Christopher Fennell.

This public art opportunity attracted submissions from 79 artists from 27 States with demonstrated experience in the design, creation, and installation of large-scale, permanent, site-responsive public art. The finalists will submit their proposals mid-September and the public will be able to attend the Arts Commission meeting and hear their presentations.
