Monday, August 10 Forest and Glenneyre 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- The City’s contractor will be planting a large tree at the Forest Promenade. Planting of the tree will require a crane. As a result, the intersection of Glenneyre/Forest will be closed from 5:00AM to 9:00AM. A detour and traffic control will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians around the closure.

Laguna Beach Firefighters Take the Wheel for CHOC at Motorhome Madness and Demolition Derby
The Laguna Beach Fire Dept. is taking the wheel at this year's CHOC motorhome madness and Figure 8 Demolition Derby all while raising money for an incredible cause.
Watch Battalion Chief Chip Gilmore battle it out in the Motorhome madness, while Captain Matt Rolfe and Captain Danny Kalscheuer put it all on the line in the Figure 8 demolition derby. They're representing Laguna Beach Fire Department with one goal in mind, supporting the incredible kids and families served by the CHOC foundation.

Set up is not permitted before 3:00 p.m. No dogs allowed at Bluebird Park (LBMC 6.16.020). No smoking (LBMC 7.40.030). No display or sale of merchandise (LBMC 18.04.015). No drones (LBMC 7.80). Low-seating beach chairs are encouraged. Alcohol is permitted for guests 21 or older, but must be accompanied by a full meal. Solicitation of any kind is not permitted at City events.
Music on the Promenade
Live music returns to the promenade on Forest Avenue starting July 10. Enjoy evening music as you shop, dine, or stroll in the heart of Laguna Beach, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through August 30, 2026. Performance schedule and information available here.

Parking Permits
All City parking permits expired on July 31, 2026. If you have not applied for a new parking permit, you can apply online, in mail, or in person at City Hall. Regardless of the method you select, all applicants need to create an online account on the City’s new parking permit portal. This will help expedite your application experience whether you are applying in person, online, or through the mail. Call for Artists
Orange County artists are invited to submit their work in consideration for the 20th annual Juried Fine Art exhibition. Open to artists ages 18 and older. $25 entry fee allows for up to 3 submissions. Apply online. Selected artworks will be exhibited at Laguna Beach City Hall from September 28 to November 12, 2026.

Arts Commission: Public Art Reinstallation on the Promenade
On Monday, August 10, 2026, the Art Commission will discuss locations for the re-installation of permanent public art pieces at the Promenade on Forest. The public art pieces by Laguna Beach artists Marlo Bartels, Larry Gill and Carolyn Reynods were temporarily removed to accommodate construction. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers, 505 Forest Avenue, Laguna Beach at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.
