Election 2020  

Voters have the option to vote by mail, vote in person at a Vote Center, or to use a Ballot Drop BoxClick here for information from the Registrar of Voters for Orange County.

Vote by Mail

All registered voters in Orange County will receive a vote-by-mail ballot. You may mail your ballot in and track it — so you know when it has been counted. If you prefer to cast your ballot in person you may bring it to any Vote Center. 

Vote Centers

You can vote anywhere in Orange County. If you prefer to vote in Laguna Beach, we have two Vote Centers: One at the Lang Park Gym located at 21540 Wesley Drive, and the other at the Susi Q Community and Senior Center located at 380 3rd Street.

All Vote Centers will be open October 30 - November 2, 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on November 3. Click here for a list of all Orange County Vote Centers.

Ballot Drop Boxes

You can securely drop off your ballot at any ballot dropbox in Orange County. In Laguna Beach our Ballot Drop Box is at the Laguna Beach Library located at 363 Glenneyre Street. Click here for a list of all Ballot Drop Boxes in Orange County.

Election 2020 Information

Regular elections are consolidated with statewide elections, scheduled on the first Tuesday of November of even-numbered years to fill expired City Council, City Clerk and City Treasurer terms. All election services are provided according to the California Elections Code.

July 13, 2020 - August 7, 2020
Nomination Period: Declaration of Candidacy forms may be obtained and must be filed July 13, 2020 through August 7, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
September 24, 2020 Mailing of Voter Information Guides
October 5, 2020  First day vote-by-mail ballots are available.
October 19, 2020
Last day to register to vote in time for the November election. 
October 27, 2020 Last Day to Apply for a Replacement Vote-by-Mail Ballot
October 30, 2020 Vote Centers Open
