Mark Orgill

Throughout his personal and professional life, Mark Orgill has always been drawn to creative endeavors with a particular passion for structure and development. He has created a successful career interweaving architecture, design, and the art of building through a variety of business ventures. Mark has developed an ability to assemble efficient creative teams and resources, provide inspiration, and nurture the talents of collaborators to turn dreams into reality. Mark has applied this keen skill to several projects in Laguna Beach where he has been a resident since 1984, and currently serves on the boards of Visit Laguna Beach and Laguna Beach Community Clinic.

He has redeveloped a variety of real estate projects; he has co-owned a custom furniture business, which led to a greater passion for building creative spaces for working artists in the city, including the student-housing complex for Laguna College of Art & Design. Mark has been working with the city of Laguna Beach for over 20 years to help create the Laguna Arts District, and has been the driver behind the unique vision of the special event venue, [seven-degrees] with his wife, Dora Wexell. As a part of the Creative Class in a very artistic city, he believes that the future of Laguna Beach must embrace the creative legacy that this city was built upon in order to have a fruitful and honest future.
