Community Assistance Grants
The City of Laguna Beach provides Community Assistance Grants to nonprofit organizations serving Laguna Beach residents through specialized programs and services. The purpose of the grant program is to support new initiatives or the expansion of services that benefit the community. All grant awards are approved by the City Council.

How to Apply
The application process for FY 2026-2027 is open from January 12, 2026 through March 19, 2026.

The City Council designates two Councilmembers to form a subcommittee responsible for reviewing applications. The subcommittee’s recommendations will be presented to the full City Council for consideration as part of the Fiscal Year 2026–27 budget hearings.
Grant applications must be submitted electronically.
Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Local nonprofit organizations with established, functioning programs

Projects and services that provide the greatest benefit in meeting the needs of Laguna Beach residents

New and/or expanded services not currently available to Laguna Beach residents
