Project Description

AD 2021-1 is a proposed utility undergrounding assessment district to underground the existing overhead utilities at West Street and portions of the surrounding neighborhood. Currently, the project is in the Construction phase.

Schedule

Engineering designs and construction bidding have been completed. The proposed schedule for the West Street project is as follows:

• March 26, 2025 - Districtwide Assessment Workshop, 6:00 p.m. at the Community and Recreation Center 
• May 20, 2025 - City Council Meeting to Adopt Resolution of Intention and Resolution to Preliminarily Approve the Engineer's Report
• July 22, 2025 - City Council Public Meeting
• July/August 2025 - Ballots mailed to affected property owners
• September 23, 2025 - City Council Meeting Public Hearing and Tally of Ballots
• Fall 2025 - Cash Collections & Qualification Period for Loan Deferment Program
• December 9, 2025 -City Council Approval of Bond Sale
• March 9, 2026 - Begin Construction
• End of 2026 - End Construction
