ADA Accommodations

Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons with a disability who require a disability-related modification or accommodation in order to participate in a meeting, including auxiliary aids or services, may request such modification or accommodation from the City Clerk at (949) 497-0705 (telephone) or (949) 497-0771 (facsimile) or by emailing amckay@lagunabeachcity.net. Notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to assure accessibility to the meeting.

Grievance Procedure Under the Americans with Disabilities Act

The City is committed to providing individuals with disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from all City programs, services, activities, and employment opportunities. Each Department ADA Coordinator plays a critical role in helping the City meet its obligations under federal and state law by serving as a departmental resource on ADA-related matters, coordinating reasonable accommodation, facilitating the interactive process, and working collaboratively with the City's ADA Program to ensure consistent implementation of accessibility and non-discrimination requirements throughout the organization.
